Assalamualaikum.

Firstly, let's have some time to pray for our brothers and sisters in Gaza,
May Allah grant them strength to undergo their daily life there despite the ruination of their country,
May Allah protect them in a sense of everything,
May Allah blow some good news for them
Ameen

So, I have been listening to this talk by Yasmin Mogahed few days back
I was moved to share some input of the talk
The talk is about emptiness in us
"Why Am I empty?" That's the pure initiation of the talk
I was attracted at my first sight seeing the title
Because it's to some extent related to me and maybe to you as well
The first 10 minutes of the talk is about the source of emptiness itself
Why do we feel empty?
As a believer, we are told that if we know Allah, we should not feel either sadness or emptiness
Indeed, in remembrance of Allah, do heart find peace
It is even stated in our Holy Quran Subhanallah
For the large portion of time, we felt the slackness and always wondered why

Even you are considered as a great worshipper but you still feel that kinda of hole in you
We have been separated from our Originator
We are not with him
Many of us stumble in filling back the hole
We try to fill the hole mostly with our careers, family and friends
We always get something to fill the holes up
But we failed

Now the idea is, we all feel the situation
The answer has a lot to do with our attachment to people around us
It is true that we do need the relationship with people
But we rely on them in every way possible
We grow the expectation higher and higher
And at the end of the day, that particular person or people hurt us, dissapoint us
And at worst, they dump us
Barely just like that
There's always something to ponder, remember?

Verily, Allah is the greatest
He replaces everything that we lose
He did substitute everything, its just the matter of time
But once we lose Allah, nothing can be a substitute
Subhanallah
The hole in us remain empty
Because we neglect him
We are seeking nothing in that something
Your careers, family and friends will all be a dissapointment for your hole
You will be in need of only Him, now and then
The hole can only be filled with Allah
We need to break the attachment with Dunya
And start seeking for what is last

Allah is calling upon you
He misses you
Allah wants to hear your prayer,
He wants to grant everything you need,
As long as you promise to worship Him and put Dunya behind
Allah loves you
He loves us
Lets this pure love because of Him, unite us all
Lets pray for our heart, not to be sinned with the matter of Dunya
Lets read the loveletter(Al-Quran) more
No matter how much you commit sins before,
He is always there waiting for you to originate back
The right path is right in front of you
He is the Most Forgiving
He is the Most Merciful
InsyaAllah
Let's meet in Jannah, later

North Borneo, 2012

Here, the lyric of my current favorite song from Fynn Jamal
The lyric is so heart warming
You may find an answer to what you have been seeking for all this while
May Allah bless us all and secure us the best place in His Jannah soon insyaAllah

Dan kau tanya dalam diam
Dengan mata kau biar pejam
Bagaimana mampu wujud sunyi
Diriuh engkau berdiri
Satu persatu hilang ertinya
Berdikit-dikit menyesak dada
Mahu kau lari dan bersembunyi
Tapi mana kau harus pergi

Haus tak terpuas lautan
Lapar tak terkenyangkan
Kau tahu namun tak kau akukan

Kau selongkar bumi langit petala
Sedang jawabnya lama kau ada
Maka perlu apa kau bongkar gali
Kalau cuma diletak tepi

Sayu tak terjelas fikiran
Rebah tak tersambutkan
Kau tahu namun tak kau akukan

Apa kau cari yang sebetul betulnya
Lama mana begini
Bertelanjang jiwanya
Apa kau cari yang sesungguh sungguhnya
Malam siang berganti
Jawabnya tetap sama

Apa kau cari yang sebetul betulnya
Lama mana begini
Bertelanjang jiwanya
Apa kau nanti yang sesungguh sungguhnya
Malam siang berganti
Jawabnya tetap sama

Sayu tak terjelas fikiran
Rebah tak tersambutkan
Kau tahu kau sayu
Kau rindu sama Tuhan
